Sidney Prescott (from Scream) has so many iconic moments, and "not in my movie" is the only thing a scream queen says that tops Nancy's "I'm into survival" for me. At least until the sequel! Neve's performance is just so stunning, and I can't even count how many times I've rewatched Scream films.
Cassandra Igarashi (from The Wicked + The Divine) is such a brilliant, incisive character. From the get-go, she's one of the funniest and toughest people in the comic, and the angle on art and criticism that she brings to the text adds so much depth.
Medea (from Medea) is one of the characters of all time, in the literal sense. One of the templates for Evil Witches, and *the* Wronged Woman, how could I do anything but love? I have deep appreciation for many versions (e.g. Hot Euripides Takes, the sheer feat of the opera) but she is just neat!!
okay that is largely reassuring. I may check it out when I'm done w travel and need to fill sleep-adjusting time.
I have been so torn on it for exactly this reason. I have been travelling so not watching enough to consider it but Kathryn, Patti, Sasheer, and Aubrey all in something feels like a custom-made trap to trick me into watching Marvel again.
hey @beccanical.bsky.social congrats on coming up with Abbie's whole Halloween name, it was gr8 work
CUUUUUUTE
I feel like she is the rare sitch where a centrist take is actually good
I’m very struck by the fact that kids who grow up in the TFL zone have basically free and highly efficient transport over a huge area whereas in other parts of the country our kids have to pay a lot of money for infrequent and unreliable transport. The impact that has on your horizons must be huge.
