I forgot about a savings account entirely. There's still a few things I haven't figured out while working on the whole process, but I know having any income above 1350 means the years spent fighting social security just evaporate into thin air.

There are two disability savings accounts that are available in the US. ABLE accounts and Special Needs Trust account. Both have their own rules and you can and should look into them and get one or both. That can help put the amount of money you can save back in your control. Good luck! 🫂
