1 month and some change into the new job. I’m incredibly happy with the job, feeling very optimistic, but struggling hard with technically being the supervisor for my site, but not my current staff. I have someone on loan from another location and they are blowing me off. V. Uncomfortable.
We’ve reached the baby in lungs stage of pregnancy. I can’t sleep cause I feel like I can’t breathe.
And the younger daughter is getting really interested in participating. She’s laying claim to flowers, fruit, and leaves. lol. Plus some miscellaneous others.
I thought butterfly stamps would be more common in these random stamp bags… but I got a couple more to research. Probably won’t be able to get the Jamaican butterfly bc it’s endangered, but two more to research. But we are getting plenty of birbs! That has been delightful too.

I finished my lil project! The stamp is from Hungary and 1969. The moth is a Jersey Tiger (moth): Callimorpha quadripunctaria/Euplagia quadripunctaria. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euplagi... I’m sad about damaging the wings but still overall quite pleased with how it turned out.
Some damage and one of the wings moved on me, so eventually I’ll probably order another one and replace it as I get better at pinning in general. But for now I’m really pleased.
1st day of work went great. Other life stuff went stupid this weekend. But we got some old stamps and there were a couple insect stamps in there and I got the notion for a mini project combining the hobbies and I’m just waiting for my moth to finish drying back out. First specimen I’ve rehydrated.
