Man that is the good stuff
Well, it's a hell of a week. ICYMI: announced our first title TANUKI: Pon's Summer. A game about Pon a backflipping, shrine building, postal machine! Been insane, going viral again in Japan. Extremely proud of the team. Check out the trailer, please wishlist! 🦝 🚲 youtu.be/mo-S6M17yTE?...
Far from the best but many beloved childhood memories are seeing movies with friends at downtown Orlando's Plaza Cinema and then crossing the street to Gino's Pizza after to argue until they closed or spending a whole weekend there for the Orlando Film Fest.
I love it! Definitely doesn’t have to be the best theater for it to be a happy spot
Did Zelda learn how to draw the stussy logo
Also - can’t imaging being super hung over watching Starship Troopers there lol, that must have been a ride. I was in a rough state seeing Lord of the Rings there on New Years Day..had to find a good spot to hold my head still for 3 hours 🫠
I have great memories of those two movies specifically - I also think it’s funny that at one point it was iirc the only theater in Marin showing Showgirls lol. I never noticed the projection _however_ I was a kid/teen for most of my movies there and was probably taken by the sheer size of it all
The parking lot was a destruction derby lot during busy times…but also I will always defend is as being a really good place to hotbox a car before seeing a movie. Not that I did that!
This theater for tons of good memories, if not for projection quality. I think my boring favorite would be an Arclight somewhere, or the AMC at Universal City Walk. But my sentimental favorite is the IMAX at the Metreon in San Francisco, for its rad pre-show that highlighted all the speakers.
The Point in Milton Keynes. I think it’s just about still standing, but no longer in use? A landmark in MK, and very 80s/90s in design! Lots of memories of seeing films there as a kid, and then McDs as a treat after!
