As an undergrad at Sydney University in the early 80s were were all keenly aware of how close we were to a nuclear conflict. We never knew of this specific incident at the time of course, that only came much later.
"I'm not a hero. I was just in the right place at the right time." Sometimes, people are heroes, just for one day (www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLp2...). And that makes all the difference.
