Yes, of course, there will be a presidential election in 2028. No, we have no guarantee that the two-term rule will be respected. And, once tens of millions of Americans are systematically disenfranchised through shenanigans designed to restrict suffrage, these elections will not be "democratic."

Anyway, now is a good time to re-read this piece from @tompepinsky.bsky.social, which was correct but made lots of folks unhappy at the time in 2017. This is what's coming if Trump wins in 2024, & inside-baseball-ing the 2028 Democratic primary per normal is a waste of time. Eyes on the ball, folks.
