Prof. Milica Radisic is a world leader in the fields of bioengineering and internationally renowned for shaping a new field of organ-on-a-chip engineering and developing new biomaterials that promote healing and attenuate scarring. She has pioneered the development of vascularized human microphysiological systems, which opens up new possibilities for the use of microphysiological systems to explore physiological and pathological processes of organ regulation at a molecular, cellular, and biomechanical level.
