Never got that one either, though that looks more like your standard gaming mag, which I never buy these days. But a specific "indie" focused one, is far more interesting. I already subscribe to a load of retro ones...

Perhaps his "change" they kept going on about, was a just change of hairdo? Turns out, accept hundreds of thousands of pounds in freebies while letting Pensioners freeze to death, isn't very "Labour". Who knew! Thought, to be fair.... they were telling everyone who'd listen....
I have just noticed I should have bought a £5 more expensive version, that comes with an extension cable, meaning you could sit it somewhere inside the case. doh. If the card works, I might buy another to get this cable.... but I can live with the original for testing.
In "theory".... if you ran under a modified DOSBox, where you trap the outs to the port, you could redirect somewhere, but that's a huge amount of work. These programs are all 16bit, so they won't run on a modern OS without DOSBox.
So possibly.... I have a PCI to ISA card coming to test the theory, then I "think" if you use a DOS Boot disk (or bootable USB stick), then it "might" boot into a retro environment on a new machine and work. Closing the machine will be optional at this point. 😂
