With love- we need to have conversations about profoundly disabled adult children & elderly parents. We have an atrocious history of institutional abuse & lack of care that is getting better but still has large gaps that MUST be filled.

That being said, I now have 2 families with parents in their 70s & adult children in their 30s & 40s & the parents are no longer physically capable of meeting their needs or managing rare behavioral issues. Both of these families have the financial means to afford residential homes.
