We have to boil our tap water before we use it for several days at a time, several times a year, minimally. If this is news to you, it’s time to start paying closer attention to how conservative politics are entrenched and spreading. We are not “red” - we are voter suppressed.
It's also a bit presumptuous to conflate "black population" with "blue voter". There are a lot of well meaning folks out there who for some reason or other choose to vote against their own best interests.

I’m sorry to hear that. I have what I call “Milk-Water” that comes out of my sink. It ruined my dishwasher and I cannot drink it because it causes kidney infections. I live off of $1.29 jugs of water. A jug lasts two days. This is so frustrating.

In Oklahoma, we are not so much a red-state as a we-do-not-vote state. 51% voter turnout last mid-term
That's still crazy to me how frequent the boil water alerts have become. It was never like that before Katrina. You'd only have boil water alerts under extreme weather conditions, not just sporadically throughout the month.
Doing my bit here in Arkansas but there's a lot of fighting needed and we need folks outside of these "red" states to fight for us, not mock and shame us.
