Stories w/ misleading or “I’m just asking questions” headlines had greater impact on vaccine intention: ➡️not bc of their psychological effect (true disinfo was worse on a per-exposure basis) ➡️but bc of how frequently “grey-zone” stories were seen Kindof like low CFR viruses that transmit easily🛟🩺🧪

I really like this paper for the analytical technique they put forward and tried out. We could use many more analyses like these. The punch line? Misinformation was really bad, but not as big in impact as grey literature and vaccine-skeptical content seen by millions. #COVID #vaccine
