So I posted this assuming the Mets would lose the first game and thank god I don’t have to worry about whether the Mets can win against a Braves bullpen game the way Braves fans must be feeling now.

Off work so slid into my local for the game, told the bartender I was there to "see the Mets lose" and the guy next to me was pissed off until he saw my hat and knew the eternal suffering that prompted my remark. Then we went fucking tonto. The fucking New York Metropolitans, love and hate and joy.

Now I have a Phillies fan friend from college texting his annoyance at the Mets for not leading in this game because he wants one of his two hated rivals to miss the playoffs.
