i feel like a punny paper title doesn't do much to address the grind-ness and bummer-ness of academia, but obviously people should call their papers whatever they want, those of us who find punny titles dumb or off-putting can just have that opinion it's cool

Well, I kinda do think some fun or silliness with paper titles or say, a jokey slide in a presentation do make academic tasks more bearable. But I can fully support the opposite grumpy side too: I'm the person who is annoyed by parades, like my university's upcoming Homecoming parade this weekend!
