Oh wow I had no idea it was a national thing! I grew up in Florida and assumed it was a Florida or Southern thing. Bananas.
This devastation is not the fault of the people of Appalachia making the poor life choice to live there. You want to believe that because it makes you feel safe but you are just as vulnerable to climate change and devastation.
