Have any of y'all ever thought about using voter registration data for research that was available but only for "political purposes"? Trying to figure out what that phrase captures exactly/what the law in TN is trying to prevent from happening with this information...

Today in AEJ Econ Policy! We have pretty good research on families' (revealed) preferences are. The question I'm interested in w.r.t. how school choice functions is - how can we change those preferences? (and/or should we?)
