where do you rate the original Fallout in terms of writing? I definitely prefer the Fallout approach to writing over PS:T's interactive gamebook approach, even setting aside the regressive politics of the latter

Fallout 1 was a big leap forward too, moments like the intro scene, talking to the master or the lieutenant were fantastic. The writing is fast-paced and humorous, I love it But it does have some dull stuff, and companions in F1 suck. In F2 they are much better, but honestly they're far behind PS:T
