i spent years honing my google fu. it was something on which i could pride myself. they’ve taken so much from me!

i used this mechanic a LOT writing EREBUS! i really enjoy that element of risk/reward where you’re incentivising the player to hold their hand in the fire longer than maybe they’re comfortable with.

i vividly remember reading someone’s interview with her where my impression that she commits hard to the ‘run on sentence free association of words’ bit melted into the haunting realisation that, no, she was just genuinely unwell

really interesting read! one of my backburner projects is a heist/intrigue game set in a cold war cyberpunk milieu so this actually really helped me think about how the various tensions in a setting can be visualised / fleshed out.
