The Mayor received it on behalf of the people of Keighley, during the ceremony to unveil the War Memorial. It's really important, as the War Memorial and the Roll of Honour were one and the same in their opinion.
It's comforting to me that the 'disconnect' of the two over the years requires the interpretation panel to reinforce this connection between the War Memorial and the Roll of Honour. As we are creating the panel in this centenary year, we are underpinning the connection for future generations.
