Rosa Elena Curruchich (1958–2005) was a Maya Kaqchikel visual artist from San Juan Comalapa, Guatemala. Her work was represented in the 60th Venice Biennale. This is "Presentando a las mujeres que construyen casitas" (Introducing the Women Who Build Houses), ca. 1980s

A portrait of Rosa Elena, a Maya Kaqchikel artist, in her studio. She is wearing a traditional Maya woven outfit, very colorful, and she is almost smiling for the camera. On the background are different art pieces with nature and Indigenous motifs.
A painting showing a celebration of three Maya women seated at a podium, wearing crowns, in front of an audience of men and women. It is a sunny day on the countryside, and there are floating balloons on the background.
