For obvious reasons there is no need to write that these were French soldiers. #FWW#Salonika

The title of Finkelstein's book published in 2010. I wonder what title he would choose if writes a follow up volume?

Exactly. A self inflicted defeat while trying Tannenberg style maneuver victory. You can find more about it in my book (The Ottoman Army and the First World War). If you want I can provide you visual items

If you wonder which fakes made into book covers I give you one example. This photo was actually taken during the Balkan Wars of 1912-13 but you can see it on book covers and stock image platforms www.alamy.com/turkish-troo...

During the #FWW#Ottoman military photos. So they either recirculated old photos or fake it. See below for an example. It says "Turkish graves" but they actually belonged to French Muslim colonial soldiers +

Taking a look at this edited volume about #Australian politics before the SWW. Surprisingly no chapter about military policy or the armed forces.

"Bu askerlik bitmez (This military service never ends)". Soldiers of the Ottoman 25th Infantry Division departing from Jerusalem on the way to the Suez Canal Campaign in December 1914. Most of these soldiers were Palestinian Arabs.
