Alexei Navalny was killed 3 days ago. I disagreed with his politics but his death broke my heart in a way I hadn't known it could be broken. He lived as if he was immortal, and his drive and bravery were contagious. It seems, deep down I believed that he can't be touched by death,

that no matter what he and all of us will survive the regime and build something better together. And only now that he's gone do I understand how much this hope meant to me. How important it was to have someone who says "I'm not afraid and neither should be you".
