In the sense that thinking of voting as an endorsement of (or investment in) a candidate, your fandom comment is 💯. We can absolutely blame the parties during the primaries, but now the Constitution is literally just saying, “One of these f*ckers is getting the job; we have to pick which one.” …

… And as far as the political parties go, there’s no better way to tell them you can safely be ignored than to disenfranchise yourself.
