the TGI is a fascinating illusion where the spatial co-presentation of non-painful warm and cold stimuli is felt as pricking, burning pain. A bit like sticking cold feet into a warm bath. the mind blowing thing here is they manage to fit a 2D function to this complex illusion...

Congrats! I browsed the preprint and was particularly interested in the adaptive thresholding procedure. Looks bespoke. I doubt it'll be coming to a friendly toolbox-near-you. Really cool work and lucid. 👍
