I’ll definitely look into both of those! I read the final chapter from MM recently just due to the title and I really liked Bordwell’s concept of Historical Poetics. I quickly looked over his blog and he has some posts continuing that line of thinking but haven’t had a chance to really read those.
My parents bought it for me on when it first came out and idk if they even knew I liked the book. I miss surprise treats like this.
No need to worry about me being a casual reader. I like reading theory, and actually read Deleuze's Cinema books with a group over the past couple of years, but I realized I never actually delved into his books. I'm looking towards graduate school and want a couple of his books under my belt.
