I really hope that BlueSky/Threads/Mastodon (the Fediverse in general) will bring back the era of the internet where everybody makes websites. Seeing usernames/domains essentially be a "verification" for people/brands is the coolest thing ever. I do fear the "scam website" rise with it, however.

Oh I miss the old forums days SO BADLY. Having different dedicated communities that could cater to each's specific needs instead of one mcdonalds vanilla bland basic version of it was so nice.

I hope that (to some degree) BlueSky will gain a verification system on top of domains. Having a checkmark of SOME kind is very important, especially when so many people can grab whatever domain they want to off of the internet relatively easily/cheaply.
