Tell this to the UK government that will not be honouring or issuing physical residence permits for my Indefinite Leave to Remain as of 31 December, in favour of the eVisa. You can bet I'll be keeping that card in my wallet even after it expires.
The UK government specifically have proven themselves particularly untrustworthy with this kind of documentation after they destroyed all of the records of those who came with Windrush
