The people voting for the Leopards Will Eat Your Face party sincerely believe the leopards will not eat *their* faces because they are better than Those People. That's why they're so comfy with eugenics etc to begin with.

I can't help noticing that people who advocate harsh, "rational" measures to "improve" humanity always assume that they themselves (or those they love) are exempt from those measures. Mostly they assume they're already the superior beings, but when push comes to shove, just because they don't wanna.
