this is one of my absolute favorite pieces of art i have ever seen, i had a near death experience and saw Gilead when most people claim to have seen heaven (not even kidding i have “died” twice)

This brings back so many memories for me. This series and artwork were my best friend in cold Montana winters as a teen.

Not hyperbole: when I first saw this image at age eight in 1990, it directly affected how I would grow to think about loneliness, mystery, longing, serenity, and the shape of the universe. I am so grateful for it, and for the chance to thank you. _Thank you._
