Since the release of LiS DE I’ve seen a lot of tension and hateful messages against deck nine devs. I didn’t play the game yet, and I have no idea where they are taking the story. But what I know is that nothing justifies harassing on people for how they wrote their game!

I didn't hate it. Just not interested. Despite how I like True Colors.

You can be disappointed, you can want other narratives for those characters you love, or different stories… but ultimately creation is hard and very subjective and if DE story does not please you, it does not erase what you imagined. Your headcanon still exists and is yours to keep!

This discourse has been particularly disappointing because I think D9 has done a great job of bringing an adult Max to life. She feels mature but still the person from the first game at heart.

Threats or harassment of any kind should absolutely be condemned. Yet this whole debacle is worthy of backlash IMO and people should be allowed to voice their discontent when they've been intentionally misled and disrespected for months. Respect works both ways and there should be accountability.

Honestly with what they’ve done to your characters, I don’t recommend you play this game, it’s just painful. I know it hit ppl to whom they meant a lot pretty hard, so I can’t imagine how hard it could hit you
