My grandmom was an illegal immigrant. She had papers but they belonged to a dead boy in Berdychiv. Spanish Flu probably. Or maybe the War, the Revolution, poverty, pogrom. She's a tween, an orphan, and can pass for a boy. Her brothers stay behind. 🧵⤵️
