TBF, I've been looking through some of WotC's Saga edition run of Star Wars TTRPG, and I evidently lost the plot of the EU a few story cycles before replicant like droids were actually a thing. Apparently during Jedi Academy, Yuzhon Vong era? Or maybe Legacy, or maybe it was a lost tech by Legacy.
