hello !! i’d give wataru the common sunbeam snake (Xenopeltis unicolor) bc they’re very colorful & strange. for one they have python/boid characteristics but flatten can flatten bodies like elapids/venomous snakes, their tails are also dexterous like wataru’s hair. they have an extra lung +

can make a “creaking” or “cracking” sound with their scales which means they’re very theatrical for no reason. they are also pretty elusive being a fossorial species. all in all just weird
