I’m a strat player too - and yes, an SG is in my list for the future. But I had an epi LP with a pro setup and SD HBs that was phenomenal. (Changed jobs, employer owned guitar so I had to surrender it). I’d check out ESP/LTD too, their SGs look good (dunno if they have any non-active pups tho)

Maybe first get your guitar(s) set up by a pro and throw some Lollars or Lindy Fralins up in em? If you’re gonna go Gibson, half the magic is in the PAFs
