Had a conversation today about where to find new papers/preprints to read. “Uh, so 10 years ago I used this thing called RSS feeds… I guess those still work … then after I graduated I used Twitter. Now I guess I use Bluesky?”

I still actually subscribe to an RSS feed from one journal (too embarrassing to say which one, it rhymes with schnature schmenetics) that sends to my Slack.

Honestly, the Semantic Scholar recommendation engine is pretty slick

I still use a seemingly archaic tool that scrapes pubmed twice a week for new articles and sends a summary by email. I have it for a few specific journals, search terms, and authors 😂🤷‍♂️
