The red ones are rebranded Thalys trains - Belgian/German operator. When they bought Eurostar they decided it was the better brand, I think?
One of the frustrations of Eurostar (in addition to their monopolistic pricing) is their policy on bikes. Even Bromptons need to be stored in a bike bag, IIRC from Charlotte Baker's tweets (is Charlotte here?)
Look up the SNCF Carte Avantage Adulte if it's not too late - similar discounts to a UK Railcard plus capped fares on TGVs which can save even more.

Allow them to be parked in any space available to cars. I loved when they could be parked considerately anywhere - most of them are parked well.
