Also sometimes I press a button and suddenly everything disappears and I have no idea what I did?? And there's no way to undo it lol

You might’ve switched viewport shaders? Or hid everything? That’s another thing with Blender. EVERY key does something. You end up having to memorize three button hotkeys.
