This approach can be developed over time and increases challenge for students whilst using the same substantive content. Let's take the life of Jesus.. KS1 - stories of Jesus reflecting on why he is special to some people uKS2 - Different possible interpretations of the stories
KS3 - context of the stories (how did people think at that time?, what influenced their thinking?, how do we know?) & how it differs to today & how it impacts interpretation. KS4 - how interpretations differ (over time) due to the varying emphasis given to context & other sources beyond the Gospels
