I remember is High School a group of friends and I acted in “The Sound of Music.” One of our roles was Nazi soldiers for the concert scene. We all felt so awkward with the swastika armbands that we got the director to agree to let us play the scene as a “Keystone Cops” style farce.

In the Dublin version of The Sound of Music, the SS guy played it as a clown, all the way. “Zey are gone!” brought the house down. He got his own round of applause for it.
