Active inference and Intentional Behaviour - A new formulation of active inference. #neuroskyence#neuroai#computationalarxiv.org/abs/2312.07547
Recent advances in theoretical biology suggest that basal cognition and sentient behaviour are emergent properties of in vitro cell cultures and neuronal networks, respectively. Such neuronal...
Completely agree (and sure, I am using somewhat overemphatic language)
Perhaps. IMO there’s also a behavioural difference. People here seem to bubble wrap everything. I’ve not yet witnessed an interesting intellectual confrontation. There’s a kind of fake facade of performative kindness to every interaction here
it seems like everyone I care to follow has stayed on Xitter, everyone here is so boring and literally nothing has happened that matters since I joined. what a waste of energy.
So does anything ever happen here or what

For months, curious folks have asked me to share details about what we are doing at @VERSESAI. I am extremely proud and incredibly excited to finally be able to share with you the first public demo of our active inference based AI system, Genius™ www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIUc...
Probably classical mechanical systems as in: arxiv.org/abs/2206.12996
In my defence, it is but one tiny equation! 😅🤣
I really enjoyed writing this short piece on the free energy principle for @dialecticalsys.bsky.social, which I hope will appeal to a broad multidisciplinary readership! I hope as well that you find it accessible and easy to read
