Curious external observer here. What would a good governance look like in the UK? IMHO, political duopoly has difficulty providing it, due to focus on the electoral cycle which is both short term and 0/100 in its nature.

First past the post voting system with safe seats is a democratic abomination. Tribalism is the worst kind of politics, encouraging short termism and combative bullshit instead of a more grown-up approach to our shared future. So, we have much to do before we reach the nirvana of ‘good governance’.
