The more I think about this, the more i think a. This still doesn’t address the fact that price controls lead to shortages and b. You’re in the UK, it’s not the same. And you’re not an American, we are very different

I think there is ample opportunity for corruption in both cases and the best safeguard against it is transparency

Price controls lead invariably to shortages. Who decides who is “allowed” to move into this finite supply of rent controlled dwellings? Recipe for graft and corruption imo
