Once again, potentially the coolest thing about Bluesky/ATprotocol is that they've built a system that on the front end *feels* just like old Twitter. But underneath the hood is built to give you way, way more freedom. Paul's thread explains just one part of that.
Curious on how it will win over the majority of people who do not understand words such as ”decentralised”, and are mostly confused by their ”long username” in their bio.
? what about money far as I can tell we are in that magical phase where the VCs are paying for everything what happens when the VCs demand a profit
Mike - is there a future where we might be able to donate monthly to Bluesky PBLLC like we donate to e.g. local news outfits or the W3C? bsky.app/profile/chri...
Yes! It’s an incredibly cool concept!
It really feels like a callback to the earlier days of the internet. I get the skepticism but I’m impressed
Refreshing to have developers who actively explain themselves and the changes actually be inventive and smart
Is it possible for you to explain it as generic as possible...
I stimmed as more of the technical details about it came out. It is so cool. Cooler than Mastodon IMO
So are there any plans for custom Bluesky clients, sorta like how Mastodon and (previously) Twitter did?
