We spend a disproportionate amount of time talking about bicycle policy and infrastructure. But don’t get us wrong: creating more cycling isn’t the goal; creating more equitable, liveable, sustainable cities is. The bike is the means, not the end.

It would make no sense to promote cycling without creating a good environment. It goes hand in hand. There would be no place to cycle or walk to, no place to meet people, to enjoy the sounds of the birds, the wind and the people, no destination for children or elderly to travel to on their own
