Decided to give Star Trek: Lower Decks a go despite first impressions of it via trailers and the past work of some people involved making me feel it might not appeal. It's actually really good! The latest episode I watched, with Jeffrey "Weyoun" Combs playing a maniac supercomputer, was a delight.

Also it still kind of blows my mind that Combs was both Brunt (FCA!) and Weyoun in DS9. He does an amazing job of both characters in quite different ways.

I had a similar experience with it... though I'd actually watched a few episodes and decided it wasn't for me. Wasn't until I saw the SNWs crossover episode that I decided to give the whole of 1st season of Lower Decks a try. So glad I did... love it more with each season.
