And it's not like there isn't any precedent for her fighting! She uses a bow and arrow plus magic in the other games, she kicks butt in Smash! I think I'm salty because getting to kick ass as Zelda is so rare, and I got a brief taste of it in Cadence of Hyrule, which isn't even a mainline game
I know that second point goes against the point of the game, but it's kind of a bummer that she has to channel Link in order to fight anyone directly. She barely has any agency in her own game.
I treated myself to the new Zelda game, and my two main thoughts are 1) I love siccing monsters on bad guys and having Zelda just chilling in bed for a quick nap, and 2) let! Zelda! Hit! Things!!

I'm ok, to be clear, pericarditis just means you have to take it really slow as far as physical activity goes. I'm lucky to have made it this far in life with my health and body intact, but damn, sometimes life clotheslines you and you start wondering what the next forty years will be like.
it's a real bummer trying to plan out a trip, and then realizing you may not be able to physically *do* half the trip. Not in a time constraints way, in a 'my body physically could not handle this' kind of way.
