Groose from Skyward Sword. Who doesn't love Groose. Goes from a typical bully who believes that if anyone should be the chosen hero, it's him, to realizing that even if he isn't the hero of legend, he can be a hero in his own right by helping Link in his fight. THE GROOSE IS LOOSE

Also very fitting that the final boss of the Dark Souls trilogy is basically Guts (massive sword, rapid fire crossbow, cloak) since Dark Souls was inspired by Berserk
Slave Knight Gael from Dark Souls 3. My favorite boss fight in any video game. Serves as the final boss for the Dark Souls trilogy as is arguably the savior of the Dark Souls universe, but it's up to the player to finish his quest and create a world in the painting free from the dying Age of Fire

Guts from Berserk. Man this guy's had it rough. Watching him struggle through all the horrid experiences he goes through is difficult, but watching him change and grow is so engaging. Losing everything and everyone but not giving up and continuing to fight and make new allies, such a badass.

Another FromSoft badass, Lady Maria from Bloodborne! My favorite fight in the game, it feels like a dance weaving between her attacks. She has one of the most tragic backstories of any FromSoft character, which is saying a lot
An obvious one first, but Melina from Elden Ring. Your first companion in a harsh world who stays by your side for the majority of your journey, she gives you a mount and let's you level up, and later brings you to the Roundtable. Love listening to her give lore with her soothing voice!
