Sometime around 11:30 or midnight the peaceful protestors seemed to get replaced by some troublemakers who returned fire with various projectiles. That’s when I’d leave, it’s noble to take a face full of teargas so some peaceful kid won’t have to, less so when the kid is throwing Molotov Cocktails.

I recall the BLM protests of 2020, Govt. goons shooting teargas and worse at people. In Portland we had a wall of veterans and a wall of moms there to protect protestors. The support from those not scheduled for deportation would overwhelm them. They don’t have the “goonpower” to pull it off.

That’s step 1, step 2 is, once the “others” are gone private equity will buy out the market and then sell/rent to whoever’s left for higher prices.
