The BAWM - Bay Area Worm Meeting was a resounding success!! Undergrads, grads postdocs and faculty ftom all over the Bay Area learned about the latest in C. elegans and Ramanei biology. It was a community effort spearheaded by Dr Maria Elena Gallegos Prof Cal State East Bay. 🧪

Here we go! BAWM signage huge welcoming orange worm with unrealistic but charming eyes and toothy grin on a freeway billboard size sign, directing to the over one hundred worm scientists to the event parking lots.
The poster session! Worm enthusiast stream along a cement pathway, congregating at posters where they learn and debate. Undergrads, grads and postdocs each had the chance to win a $100 prize (and a priceless mug) for their posters!
