Fear not, systemd lovers, for there is piss enough in my balls to widdle all over sysvinit as well. Runlevels are dumb, and an init system shouldnāt try to manage services. Its job is to get the system into a state where the service manager can do its own job, monitoring services.
Hot take: Systemd hasnāt āproved itselfā, you just gaslit yourself into thinking itās better.
Nerd fight: An init system does not need to also be a service supervisor, and, in trying to be both, a software project only makes two things worse. And... go!
I kind of want a Legend of Zelda fan-game that features a posthumous adventure of the Hero of Timeās shade - an interquel between Majoraās Mask and Twilight Princess, set in the Hylian afterlife.
a slice of my kingdom for an edit button, just so I can fix typos without deleting and reposting dang it lol
You ever meet someone online, and despite all their claims and justifications, the only feeling you get from them is that theyāre big mad you wonāt submit to their superiority?
Sweet fucking Mary with a frog in her panties. Arifureta might be the second most edgelord fucking Isekai bullshit Iāve ever seen. And yet itās strangely compelling. Like a really nasty taxi crash. Maybe itās a combo of the Quake III level CGI, deeply weird protagonist, and hilariously bad editing.
Eventually, this assemblage will become a Z180-based computer running CP/M 3. It's an SC500 series backplane (smallcomputercentral.com/modular-z50b...) with an add-on backplane segment that adds three RC2014 bus slots. Right now, it's just the power regulator board and the CPU/RAM/ROM board.
Iām waiting for the ālife hackā short video types to discover that nail polish and automotive paint are both just nitrocellulose based enamels with acetone as a solvent, and the latter can be custom mixed to any shade you want.
Despite having 2000+ followers over there, I am less and less inclined to spend the money I do every month maintaining my Mastodon instance. I can get insulted, misunderstood, and slandered here for free.
