Because people keep asking, the Story of The Lizard In That Dude's Leg. Some caveats: 1. This happened more than twenty years ago. There are no pictures. There was a small article in a local paper with, again, no pictures (I'm assuming that's what the producers of 9-1-1: LONE STAR found).

The reality of long wall coal mining. Once healthy creeks in the Sydney catchment have become dead zones. This was predicted 20 years ago, yet we still went ahead on the false hope that engineers hired by coal mines would fix it. www.smh.com.au/environment/...

Once healthy creeks in the Sydney catchment have become dead zones. Now scientists know why
Once healthy creeks in the Sydney catchment have become dead zones. Now scientists know why

New research provides scientific evidence that longwall mining is draining endangered upland swamps, eroding water quality and creating fire risk.

ig Tech is increasingly turning towards nuclear energy to meet the ever-increasing power demands of their data centers, with Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang recently indicating that nuclear power could be a viable option to power the company's energy needs. This news comes after Microsoft's recent deal to reactivate the Three Mile Island nuclear facility to power its data centers in the area.

In an interview with Bloomberg Television, Huang said that Nvidia could be interested in nuclear power as part of its broader strategy to diversify the energy sources that power its data centers.

"Nuclear is wonderful as one of the sources of energy, one of the sources of sustainable energy. It won't be the only one. We're going to need energy from all sources and balance the availability and the cost of energy as well as the sustainability over time."

The idea of powering data centers with nuclear energy has become a trend within Big Tech as companies such as Nvidia, Microsoft, and even Amazon and G

this thread tho

i don't understand this economy when nursing homes are so expensive they bankrupt our grandparents but nursing home aides need to use food banks.

daycare is so expensive it eats up one parent's entire paycheck and yet daycare providers only make $10/hr and need second jobs.
